  • Hunting

Every year there is Trophy Mule and Columbian Blacktail Deer are taken in the state. Also Oregon now offers a Columbian Whitetail Deer which has been recently been approved for hunting. We offer Archery, Muzzleloader and Rifle hunts in management units noted for "Trophy" animals. We offer hunts on private BLM and National forests. Deer tags can be purchased through the draw or through allocated non resident outfitters program. There are also landowner permits available. Guided hunt costs will cost $3000 and up.

Rocky Mountain Elk are found in the eastern portion of the state and Roosevelt Elk are found on costal regions. We offer private land hunts with guaranteed tags along with pack in hunts in the major mountain areas. The northeast portion of the state, bordering Idaho, has produced a number of trophy elk.
The terrain can include grasslands, high desert, clear cuts, wilderness areas and timber.

Roosevelt Elk hunts are conducted in the western costal regions both on private as well as forest lands. These animals are big (larger then Rocky Mountain Elk) and many trophies have been harvested. Heavy timber and swamps can be favorites for these animals and the hunter should be in top condition.

Elk hunts costs will vary from $1200 to $5000 plus depending on the area and the type of weapons used.

Oregon has a large population of Black Bear and hunts are conducted in the spring and fall and in some cases can be combined with Elk and Deer hunts. Bobcat and Mountain Lion hunts are also available.
And if you are interested in Varmint hunting Oregon is an ideal place. Hunt these critters all year on many private ranches.
